Two Meat and Spinach Lasagna

Makes 12 Servings
1 Pound Ground Beef
1 Pound Mild Italian Sausage
⅓ Cup Diced Onions
6 Ounce Can of Tomato Paste
8 Ounce Can of Tomato Sauce
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
Italian Seasoning (to taste)
3-4 Cups Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
24 Ounce Container Cottage Cheese
6 Lasagna Noodles
Optional: Fresh Spinach
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
Bring 6 quart pan of lightly salted water to a boil.
Brown meat and onions.
Mix in tomato paste and sauce.
Add salt, pepper and Italian seasoning to taste.
Cook noodles according to package directions while meat simmers for 10 minutes.
Lay 3 noodles on the bottom of a 9x13x2 pan.
Sprinkle layer of grated mozzarella cheese over the noodles.
Spread ½ of the container of cottage cheese over the mozzarella.
Spread ½ of the meat mixture over the cottage cheese.
Optional: Spread fresh spinach over the meat mixture.
Repeat layer - noodles, mozzarella cheese, cottage cheese, then meat mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
