Happy Holidays Tree Card Instructions

1. Cut white cardstock to 10" x 5".

2. Score the center so card folds to 5" x 5".

3. Cut scalloped edged detail.

Skip steps 1, 2, 3 and buy a precut, prefolded, prescalloped 5" x 5" card.

4. Cut plaid patterned paper to 1" x 5". Ink the edges. Adhere to the inside edge of card so that it lays behind the scalloped front of the card.

5. Cut floral paper to 4 3/4" x 4 3/4". Ink the edges. Adhere to left side of the white cardstock. Ink the edges. Adhere to left side of the white cardstock, leaving an even border along the top, left and bottom edges.

6. Cut green cardstock to 2" x 4 1/2". Ink the edges. Adhere to left side of floral paper, leaving an even border along the top, left and bottom edges.

7. Cut brown cardstock to 3/8" x 1/2". Ink edges. Adhere to the green cardstock along the center, bottom edge. This is the tree trunk.

8. Cut a triangle of plaid patterned paper with a 1 1/4" base and a 3 1/2" height. Cut that triangle into thirds. Ink the edges. Adhere to the green card cardstock with the widest, bottom portion of the triangle overlapping the brown trunk, forming the tree.

9. Punch out a star from coordinating red cardstock or lightly patterned paper. Ink the edges. Adhere to the top of the tree.

10. (Optional) Cut red cardstock/lightly patterned paper to 1/2" x 4 3/4". Ink edges. Adhere to right edge of floral patterned paper.

11. Stamp or write "Happy Holidays" vertically along the scalloped edge of the card.

Joy Tag Instructions

1. Cut white cardstock to 2 1/4" x 4". Round corners with corner punch or scissors. Ink the edges.

2. Cut plaid patterned paper to 1" x 2 1/4". Ink the edges. Adhere to the lower portion of the white cardstock, leaving a 1/4" border along the bottom edge.

3. Cut green cardstock to 3/4" x 2 1/4". Punch a star out of the right side. Set the star aside for later use. Ink the edges. Adhere to the plaid patterned paper, leaving an even border along the top and bottom.

4. Stamp or write the word "Joy" on the left side of the green cardstock.

5. Punch another star out of the green cardstock. Ink the edges. Adhere both stars to the top, left corner of the card.

6. Cut plaid patterned paper to a 1" x 1" square. Ink the edges. Adhere to the top, center of the tag so that half of the square is on the white cardstock and half is sticking off the top. Punch a hole in the center of the plaid patterned paper.
