Photographing Multiple Necklaces

There are many reasons that you might want to take pictures of your jewelry collection. It might be for insurance purposes or to create a personal catalog or to document the items for your posterity or whatever. Maybe you want to photograph your mother's or your grandmother's jewelry. Maybe you just like taking pictures and the combination of metalics makes you happy. Whatever the reason, this is a fun way to capture multiple pieces in one shot. Simply place each necklace or bracelet on a plain, white background so that it lays flat and arrange the pieces so that they line up alongside one another. Then play around with zooming in and out on the arrangement so that you capture the details that you are wanting to document. The picture and the process is simple but it makes the jewelry look like it is straight out of a catalog!
