Welcome Spring Background
Every February I start searching my yard for the first signs of spring...fresh, green daffodil shoots pushing their way out of the frozen ground. And every February, when I finally see the evidence of new life in my garden, I can hardly wait for the bulbs to grow and bloom! Sometime in March, my daffodils open their petals and I relish in the beauty of these first flowers. I love their bright, vibrant color! I love how they stand, tall and proud! I love that they are the first to bravely face the ever changing spring weather in Utah. One day it is sunny and warm, the next day it is snowing! They are tough little flowers so the snow and the cold doesn't phase them one bit! Their short life will come to an end all to soon and by then, my then my tulips, hyacinths and lilies will bloom and I will admire and enjoy their beauty. But for today, I celebrate my daffodils!
