Simple Nativity Set Wallpaper
As I thought about what I wanted December's wallpaper/background/Facebook cover photo to be, I wanted something that would bring me peace. I wanted something that would help me find calm among the busy-ness and business of this Christmas season. I wanted something that would bring joy. I wanted something that would help me remember the true meaning behind the commercialized holidays. I wanted something that would help me stay grounded. This simple nativity set does just that. It reminds me that the birth of Jesus Christ is the reason for our Christmas season. It reminds me that simple things can have great meaning and that I don't have to make everything be so elaborate. It reminds me to take a moment to be still and appreciate the gift of life. I look forward to these reminders (that I'm sure I will need over these next few weeks) each and every time I see this image. May we all be filled with peace, calm and joy throughout the month of December!

Below you can see the setup inside the box. I used a wooden box filled with sand as my base. I pushed the sand up against the back edge of the box so that it covered the lip and hid the edges of the box. I used a piece of navy blue cardstock with little flecks in it that look like distant stars in the picture. I printed out the larger, yellow star, cut it out and adhered it to the cardstock so that it sits over the manger, pointing the way to the stable. I used the Sideshot Arm for additional front lighting as well as the base to hold my phone in the appropriate position for my shot.
