Conversation Hearts

Nothing says February and Valentine's Day quite like conversation hearts. For a while there, it seems like the sayings on the hearts got pretty modern and kind of weird but this year's batch seems to have a lot of the classics. "MY GIRL" "LOVE YOU" "XOXO" "UR MINE" and "KISS ME" are a few of the old standbys that I am happy to see. They bring back childhood memories of holding a handful of conversation hearts, saying a boy's name, then randomly selecting a heart to see what the fate of our future entailed. I'm not sure if kids still do that or not. If they don't, they should! It is also fun to see some of the newer sayings. "LOL" "SUP BABE" "BFF" and "TEXT ME" are some of the more modern sayings that were definitely not around when I was a kid. It is fun to see how times have changed but the old classics still remain, even if they do have a new twist.

Below you can see the setup inside the box. I used a yellow sling backdrop that matched the yellow in the conversation hearts so that if there were gaps in the cluster of hearts and you could see through to the backdrop, it wouldn't be very noticable. I dumped two bags of conversation hearts onto the base and arranged them into a rectangular shape. I flipped over several hearts so that more of the sayings were showing. I used the top shot feature to take my picture. Super simple but super cute!
